What's the best way to get crayon off of antique wooden furniture?

My son decided to draw on the side of our antique desk secretary yesterday afternoon. I am not sure how to take it off without scuffing the wood/ removing varnish. Ideas? Thanks.
Great answers: While I'm at it...any ideas how to get white water/ moisture rings off of an antique wooden buffet?

Murphey's Oil Soap will not work well on the crayon marks. It is not great at things like that, but I love it to do regular cleaning with. Like answerer two said, Mr. Clean magic eraser will do the trick and will be the easiest....it is one of the best things they ever made. If the white ring is not deep into the wood, then you should be able to get most of it out by cakeing on vaseline. First, use a small amount and rub with your fingers into the wood, then pile it on and leave it for at least 24 hours. After that, use a dry cloth to wipe the remaining vaseline off. If it did not take it all out, then you will have to use teak oil or a stain to touch up that spot. Good luck.
